Porta San Giacomo

After admiring the bustling atmosphere of Città Alta, you can start your way down to the lower part of the town. Take a short walk from Piazza Vecchia to Piazza Mercato Delle Scarpe. From there, via S. Giacomo leads to Porta San Giacomo, one of the most beautiful gates of the Venetian walls surrounding Città Alta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017, where you can enjoy stunning views of the rolling hills and the town below.
