Today, Marone is famous for its olive groves, which has earned it the nickname "Oil City". There is a beautiful and well-maintained olive park behind the Monumento ai Caduti del Mare in Via Caduti del Marre 53, with a very nice and protected playground. Mountains and lake views plus adjacent to a bar/restaurant make it excellent for a family break, if you are passing through this area of Lake Iseo.
